NYU BJJ Club - Wednesday Oct. 6th
The wrestling coach was very nice. We didnt get any hasstles about being there. Some 4 wrestlers were doing their thing some of the time, but no one disturbed us or asked questions. Cool! Class was very good. Patrik (I hope I spelled it correctly) was definitely eager to learn. Even after O-sensei taught like 5 techniques he still wanted more :-) We have a new member. Can you spot him/her in the photo?! And since everyone pretty much took their gi off while I fetched the camera, it just seems like I showed up with a gi to a no-gi class. But I swear just a minute before taking this shot nearly everyone had a gi on! Okay, so Dan is also wearing his white gi, but he is hiding behind his friends there.

MMA Tag Team
an event held in Japan ZST an mma promotion that is still active (3 events in 2005) had a tag-team MMA fight
The guy who fought in the last K1 Hero's against Caol Uno and lost in the first round - Hideo Tokoro and Shuichiro . Katsumura against the amazingly powerful Lithuanian Remigijus Morkevicius and his partner Erikas Petraitis

Training in BJJ at NYU.
We have started Training in BJJ at NYU on Sundays 2-4pm.These are pictures from the second meeting of the semester. (I wasn't there for the first one)
Hopefully we will meet again on Wednesdays - making it twice a week.
The instructor is NYU student Michael Harmon, a purple belt under Dave Ginsburg. Hopefully Dave will come down from Boston and give us a seminar at some point. Mike used to train at Renzo's as well. We also plan to organize a meet with Columbia students who train BJJ.
Hopefully we will meet again on Wednesdays - making it twice a week.

Yoshinori Ihara
The guy in the green shirt is Yoshinori Ihara. He is a full-time reporter about kickboxing and MMA for the website www.boutreviewusa.com . Ihara-san brought me to the hotel for the press conference and fighter`s meeting. Tomorrow we are going to Pankrase together. He is a very nice guy. In this picture he is talking to a reporter for Sherdog - That white hat is actually a Sherdog hat.
We were first in the press conference room. Ihara-san was glad that we made it with plenty of time to spare, despite the fact that he had to exit the train system at Shibuya to meet me at the Hatchko exit. Hatchko means dog in Japanese and there is a statue of a dog there.

The host of Pride FC pay-per-view in USA, Mauro Renello. Okay, Bas Rutten's the co-host. Bas was actually grabbing lunch during this time and he showed up just as I was leaving to eat something myself.

Reporters are actually kicked out from the fighters meeting.
Takada, who is the figurehead of PrideFC will speak to the fighters.
Then he will smile at me when he leaves. A smile that says - "Hey, I remember you from Israel, right? You came to see that UWFI show that we did in Tel-Aviv. You were a geek even then - I remember..."

It seems that Tank Abbot decided to wear red - so he fit in with the Red Devil sports club quite well.
Tank is putting the moves on Fedor`s wife. Luckily, Fedor is right there to intercept.. Smooth, Tank, Smooth...
Nothing like having a big `ol picture of yourself with your name on your shirt. Kind of like taking the whole "Hello, my name is ___ " sticker to the next level.
