Yoshinori Ihara
The guy in the green shirt is Yoshinori Ihara. He is a full-time reporter about kickboxing and MMA for the website www.boutreviewusa.com . Ihara-san brought me to the hotel for the press conference and fighter`s meeting. Tomorrow we are going to Pankrase together. He is a very nice guy. In this picture he is talking to a reporter for Sherdog - That white hat is actually a Sherdog hat.
We were first in the press conference room. Ihara-san was glad that we made it with plenty of time to spare, despite the fact that he had to exit the train system at Shibuya to meet me at the Hatchko exit. Hatchko means dog in Japanese and there is a statue of a dog there.

The host of Pride FC pay-per-view in USA, Mauro Renello. Okay, Bas Rutten's the co-host. Bas was actually grabbing lunch during this time and he showed up just as I was leaving to eat something myself.
Next time I need to get a picture with Joe Rogan to complete the set...

Reporters are actually kicked out from the fighters meeting.
Takada, who is the figurehead of PrideFC will speak to the fighters.
Then he will smile at me when he leaves. A smile that says - "Hey, I remember you from Israel, right? You came to see that UWFI show that we did in Tel-Aviv. You were a geek even then - I remember..."

It seems that Tank Abbot decided to wear red - so he fit in with the Red Devil sports club quite well.
Tank is putting the moves on Fedor`s wife. Luckily, Fedor is right there to intercept.. Smooth, Tank, Smooth...
Nothing like having a big `ol picture of yourself with your name on your shirt. Kind of like taking the whole "Hello, my name is ___ " sticker to the next level.

Look at the width of those arms... Roman is no pushover.
There`s Fabricio Werdum in the blue, Sylvio Behring in the orange Hunter shirt (admit it - you couldn`t tell its made by Hunter, right?) On the left is Rodrigo, Cro-Cop`s sparring partner and on the right is Filipe Werdum, Fabricio`s brother.

I bought a bunch of MMA magazines in Japanese !! That`s Genki Sudo on the cover on the right side. On the left side it may be Takanori Gomi. The one on top actually comes with a DVD. Kakutougi is perhaps the best-known MMA publication in Japan. On the top left you can see the official PrideGP book which covers all the events leading up to the championship its a wonderful publication.

This is the back of the black Shooto shirt that I bought. The Shooto event was great. There were maybe 5500 people there in the Yokohama Arena
This is the back of the white Shooto shirt that I bought. The "theme" for this Shooto was Tiger fighting the Dragon as you can see in the image. I like this shirt because both front and back have the place and date on it.
